Our Nurses Amanda Poland Veterinary Assistant Amanda joined the Animal Medical Clinic team in June 2005. She is originally from a small town in Missouri and moved to South Carolina 2 years ago. She is currently a student at Trident Technical College pursuing her dream of becoming a licensed veterinary technician. Amanda's love for animals has extended into her home where she has 3 dogs and 2 cats. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends,surfing the internet, shopping and going to the movies. Amanda "Mandy" Ray Veterinary Assistant Amanda joined the AMC team in October 2008. She is a 2007 graduate of the College of Charleston. She joined our team after completing an internship working with exotic cats and several years working at a local animal shelter. She lives in Moncks Corner with her furry, four-legged daughter, Zoe. Charlene Sheets Veterinary Assistant Charlene joined Animal Medical Clinic in April 2004. She has received most of her 11 years of experience through a 5 doctor practice in the Philidelphia area.She has also completed Animal nursing and radiology courses through Cedar Valley College and is also certified as a Veterinary Dental Technician through Imaging Resources and American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians. She resides in Goose Creek with her husband Jesus, daughter Sujey, one very spoiled dog,Thumper and 5.75 cats: Bunnie, Bugs, Jag, Pokey, Cinco and Cricket, the neighbors cat who is a frequent visitor. Her hobbies include: gardening,cross-stitching, reading and fishing. Elizabeth Chastain Veterinary Technician Elizabeth joined our team as a Veterinary Technician in February 2004. She is a 2006 graduate of Trident Tech's Veterinary Technology program. Elizabeth especially enjoys working with cats and reptiles. She is a Goose Creek native and lives here with her 3 cats and 4 snakes. Jennifer Ames Technician Assistant Jennifer graduated from Pima Medical Institute as a Certified Veterinary Assistant. She lives in Goose Creek with her many pets. She especially enjoys working with our senior patients. Mandy, Amanda, and Meg Elizabeth,Katrina,Nikki,and Wendy Katrina Poston Veterinary Assistant Katrina started with us in June 2008. She is pursuing her Veterinary Technician Degree at Trident Technical College. Lyn Rodzianko Veterinary Assistant Lyn joined our team in 2000, after moving here from Washington, DC. She graduated from Emory University and has worked in the veterinary field for over 12 years. She confesses to having a real soft spot for English Bulldogs. She enjoys doing stained glass and Ukranian Easter eggs and is an an senior group volunteer. She currently lives in Summervile with her neurotic cat, Penny. Meg Henslee Office Assistant Meg started working at AMC in August 1996 helping the front desk staff on Saturday mornings. She began working full time at the Bed & Biscuit kennel full time in October 2001 and moved to the Bed & Biscuit front desk in October 2002. She moved back to the hospital as our part time office assistant and “girl Friday” in January 2008. Meg has lived in Goose Creek with her husband,Mark, for the last 19 years. Nikki McGowan Veterinary Technician Nikki joined our team in January 2008 after spending her externship with us. Nikki received her Veterinary Technician degree from Trident Technical College in May 2008. She has worked in the veterinary field for many years as an equine nurse, but has decided to devote her time to small animal medicine. Nikki has a puppy named Diesel. Wendy Barnes LVT Licensed Veterinary Technician Wendy joined our team in September 2008. She is a 2005 graduate of Trident Technical College’s Veterinary Technician program. She worked for 2 ˝ years at a mixed animal practice in New York before her family was restationed here in Goose Creek. Wendy lives in Goose Creek with her husband, 1 ˝ yr old son and a 5 year old boxer named Charlie. Wendy spends her spare time playing with her son, scrapbooking, and shopping Charlene, elizabeth and Lyn
