A message to our clients about coronavirus
Dear Friends,
We understand the growing concern surrounding the coronavirus outbreak in the United States and we want you to know what we are doing to keep our patients and clients safe from unnecessary exposure to illness.
As part of our daily cleaning and disinfecting routine we use several disinfectants (including those that kill coronavirus) when we clean the floors, walls, exam tables, kennels, yards and common areas. We have begun to increase the frequency of these cleanings as well as additional disinfecting of all highly touched surfaces, such as, doors (knobs/handles), seats, workstations, countertops, credit card machines and other areas that our staff and clients use routinely. We have installed touch free hand sanitizing stations in both lobbies as well as throughout the building. We have met with the entire staff to ensure that our sick policy is clear and that employees know that if they are sick/have sick family members they should not come in to the workplace and that we support them staying home.
We offer curbside medication delivery at any time. We encourage our clients that are not feeling well to call us ahead of their appointment so that our team can either reschedule a routine appointment or prepare our team members to meet you outside. We understand how important it is that your pet been seen by a veterinarian when they are ill so we have begun to offer curbside check in of patients (for owners that might be sick) in order to minimize the unnecessary exposure to our employees and other clients to airborne illness.
To date, there is no evidence that companion animals or pets can spread COVID-19 (per CDC guidance). For the latest information about coronavirus and pets, we encourage you to visit the links below:
